Being a 20-something yuppie in the city, I had no idea what to do with my life.
Some people seem to have it all figured out, or so I think. I read something about Image Crafting yesterday, and it totally made sense.
I was living with my siblings for a while, but I realized that I would never know myself if I don’t start on my own.
I found a place online, and I checked it the next day. It didn’t seem like much, but I was on a budget.
I can fix this, I thought to myself. And that was the beginning of my project.
Before I moved in, I had the owner paint the walls with a color I loved.
Lavender. Everything was going to be lavender and white. It looked so good in my head, something like this:
But what I got was THIS:
It was a small studio-type room, and it was a mess!
Still… I was motivated to have a place that I would want to go home to every night.
I started with the bathroom and the floor tiles.
I didn’t have any furniture at all, but I invested my Christmas bonus from work on this. I got a full-length mirror and a sofa bed.
I was so excited that I placed sticky notes on the walls for the things that I would be placing there.
Since I didn’t have much space, it’s gonna be a receiving area/bedroom.
I was frustrated at first with how slowly the progress was… but seeing everything coming into place felt so good.
We should learn how to be patient when working on what we want to achieve.
I wasn’t just cleaning up my apartment, I was discovering who I really am in the process. And apart from the hard work it takes, it was so much fun!
I have a looot more to do, but it’s gonna be so worth it.
